NATURE QUEST HIKE WITH A NATURALIST - September 3rd and 4th, 10AM-12PM - Find both of the Nature Quest trail markers at Oregon Ridge on this hike with a Naturalist while spotting the seasonal changes. Hike is approximately 5 miles. Ages 7+, FREE.
SPECIAL FUNDRAISING EVENT - November 17 at the Oregon Ridge Lodge (13401 Beaver Dam Road) - Tom Horton speaking on the Chesapeake Bay - The admission fee for the 6:00 PM wine and lite fare reception, plus lecture is $50. The fee for the 7:30 PM lecture is $20 on-line or $25 at the door. For registration and payment information click here.

COLUMBIA GAS TRANSMISSION PIPELINE PROJECT - This project will cut a swath through 1.3 miles of Oregon Ridge Park, and use 8.6 acres of parkland for a construction yard. Work has begun. Details of this project can be found in the Oregon Ridge Park Mitigation Report and the Forest Conservation Plan.
