Important notice: The Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) is accepting comments on the reissuance of the Wetlands/Waterway permit for the Nisource/Columbia Gas Transmission pipeline project through Oregon Ridge Park. This project will remove 11 acres of our forest by widening the existing right of way by 75 feet. Of course, our pristine Baisman Run and several wetland areas will also be crossed and disturbed. We hope that all of our members will encourage MDE to require strict environmental controls. Please send your comments to MDE at . Comments are due by July 8th. PAINT NIGHT ON THE RIDGE - July 10th, 7-9 PM - Gather your friends and put on your art smock to join our nature art teacher, Melissa, for a night of instructional painting on the ridge! Create your very own nature inspired painting. We provide the canvas, paints and brushes. There will be light snacks and B.Y.O.B! No experience needed. $45 ($30 members).

TUBING ON THE LITTLE FALLS - 7/11, 7/12, 8/8, 8/9; 10AM-2PM - Celebrate the hot summer day tubing down the Little Gunpowder Falls River. Pack a small lunch and plenty of water. Closed toe shoes are a must! Children must be at least 8 and able to paddle their tube around obstacles in the water. Under 16, must be accompanied by an adult. Program meets offsite and shuttling from put-in to take-out is required. $15 ($10 members).

The 2015 Nature Quest Passports are now available at the Nature Center. The passport booklet gives a description of the trails in the Baltimore County Parks, and details the rules of the Nature Quest. Those completing all or a portion of the trails will receive prizes donated by Wegmans.



The Nature Center is open from 9 am to 5 pm Tuesday through Sunday.
We are closed on Mondays. The park grounds are open dawn to dusk everyday.
