TRAIL GUIDE TRAINING - September 2nd-5th, 10AM-1PM - Do you enjoy nature and educating youth? The Nature Center is in need of volunteers to help lead free field trips to both public and private schools 10AM-12PM Tuesday through Friday, year-round. Volunteers lead small groups of field trip students around the park for a hands-on nature experience to remember for a lifetime! No minimum time commitment. This year’s training topics include habitats, insects, geology and Native Americans. Cost is $20 (refunded after you lead a field trip walk). For more details view our pdf flier.

BASIC CANOE STROKE WORKSHOP - September 6th or 7th, 1PM-3PM - Learn how to canoe on our quarry lake with American Canoe Certified instructors. Basic skills include how to rescue a flipped canoe so you can be prepared for bigger aquatic adventures. Ages 10+, $15 ($10 Members).

NATURE QUEST 2014 - Nature Quest provides a great opportunity to experience the outdoors and be active with friends and family while discovering some of the best parks and trails in Baltimore County. You can bike, hike, or canoe on designated trails to complete the Nature Quest and earn fun prizes. The Nature Quest is ongoing but questers that complete at least 5 trails each year receive free admission to that year’s Quest Fest and are entered into raffles for great prizes. The Nature Center is open from 9 am to 5 pm Tuesday through Sunday.
We are closed on Mondays. The park grounds are open dawn to dusk everyday.
