Honey Harvest Festival

Beekeepers and bee lovers will be gathering at the Oregon Ridge Nature Center for a celebration at the Honey Harvest Festival. Members of the Central Maryland Beekeepers Association along with the 2019 Honey Princess, Nicole Medina, will kick off the festivities on Saturday with open hive and honey extraction demonstrations.

Visitors will have many activities to choose from including mead (honey wine) tasting, honey ice cream making, apple cider pressing, s’more around the campfire, craft demonstrations and live music.

Children's activities include crafts, face painting, fall games, puppet shows and animal encounters. Food and drink vendors will also be onsite. Click here to see the Honey Harvest flyer.

Two gift baskets filled with Local Honey, Maple Syrup and gift items will be raffled. Raffle tickets will be sold at the Membership Table for $1 or six for $5.

Local Beekeepers including McDaniel Honey Farm, Snyder’s Apiaries and Bees by the Bay will be selling honey and honeybee products like hand cream, lip balm and beeswax candles.
